Designed for use in small and midsize businesses, Retrospect Server runs on a Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X (10.1.2 or later) server and backs up as many as 100 networked clients, including Apple Macintosh, Microsoft Windows, and Red Hat Linux desktops and notebooks as well as servers running Mac OS X Server (10.1.2 or later). Retrospect Server can be expanded with additional client licenses. It utilizes proven automated technology to provide easy administration, complete protection for networked computers, and fast backups with 100% accurate restores.

Backup System Requirements

• Retrospect Workgroup or Server editions - Mac OS 9, Mac OS X 10.1.5 through Mac OS X Tiger, or Mac OS X Server 10.1.5 through Mac OS X Server v10.4 ('Tiger')*
• Retrospect Desktop edition - Mac OS 9, Mac OS X 10.1.5 through Mac OS X Tiger*
• 128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended) for Desktop edition; 256 MB of RAM (512 MB recommended) for Server and Workgroup editions
• Hard disk with at least 200 MB free
• Network backup requires TCP/IP networking

Macintosh Clients

• Power Macintosh
• Mac OS 7.1 or later with Open Transport TCP/IP networking
• Mac OS X 10.1.5 though Mac OS X Tiger
• Retrospect Server for Macintosh is required to back up Mac OS X Servers as clients
