Flexible, Stackable, Fast Ethernet Switching!
The ProSafe FSM7328PS and FSM7352PS are feature-rich Fast Ethernet Layer 3 Managed Stackable Switches with Power over Ethernet (PoE) that deliver wire-speed performance at an affordable price.
Connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
NETGEAR's FSM7328PS provides 24 Fast Ethernet ports for data communications; all these ports can also provide PoE, the IEEE 802.3af industry-standard. Power over Ethernet greatly simplifies the positioning and installation of wireless access points, VoIP telephone or IP-based CCTV surveillance cameras. PoE eliminates the requirement for a dedicated electrical socket to power these devices, so you can install and power manage them on a ceiling or high on a wall, typically away from most electrical sockets. PoE allows you to place wireless Access Points or IP cameras virtually anywhere, even where AC power would been difficult to access.
Management & Control
The FSM7328PS managed switch offers a host of management and control features enabling you to run your network as efficiently and securely as possible. Robust security features include IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication and access control lists to ensure that only authorised users are allowed to access your company's network. Choose between three interfaces to manage your network switches: a Web GUI, command-line sessions or multiple switches can be securely managed via SNMPv3 with NETGEAR's ProSafe™ Network Management Software – NMS100.
Easy to Use
The FSM7328PS managed switch uses GUI-based device configuration to simplify and reduce the workload for network administration personnel. New front-panel stacking capabilities enable you to build a single-IP manageable device with up to eight individual switches utilising standard copper or fiber Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and cards. Dynamic RIPv1/v2 standards-based routing protocols ensure easy set-up and eliminate the need to maintain static routing tables, reducing ongoing maintenance costs. The Power over Ethernet functionality makes it easy to deploy power to mobile network devices without the need for an electrician or complicated installations.
Value For Money
With a surprisingly attractive price point, flexible design, and reduced maintenance requirements, NETGEARÂ’s ProSafe 10/100 Layer 3 Stackable switch with PoE solution yields a high return on investment, and is ideal for delivering highly reliable, converged voice, video, and data services over a single network infrastructure.
