Customer management: Track customers with a shared contact database using Microsoft Outlook® 2000 and Exchange 2000 Server public folders. System Hardware or Software Requirements

Server Pentium II 300MHz or greater; Pentium III 500Mhz recommended 128MB RAM minimum; 256MB RAM recommended for heavier server use 4GB hard disk; Two mirrored 4GB hard-drives recommended for fault tolerance CD-ROM Drive 3.5 high-density disk drive (must be configured as drive A) Ethernet network interface card from the Windows 2000 Hardware Compatibility List Super VGA compatible display capable of 256 colors To use the Fax Service, you need a dedicated Class 1 Fax modem in addition to at least one other modem to be shared for other server services such as RAS, Proxy dial-up, and/or Modem Sharing. For moderate to heavy fax use, it is recommended you purchase one or more external, business-quality fax modems or a premium fax board such as a supported board from Brooktrout. Desktop Pentium 90Mhz or greater processor 32MB RAM; 64MB RAM recommended 300MB available hard disk space Ethernet network card compatible with the desktop operating system VGA compatible display 3.5 high-density disk drive If accessing the server using dial-up networking, a modem is required The Small Business Server 2000 component server applications are not limited from the Standard versions, however their usage is subject to the parameters outlined below: All of the component server applications in the Small Business Server 2000 suite must be installed on a single server machine. A maximum of 50 workstations can be connected to a Small Business Server 2000 network. This also limits the number of workstations that can access any of the component server applications. Small Business Server must be set up as the root Domain Controller of an Active Directory forest, which prevents SBS from serving as a corporate branch office or divisional server of a larger organization with an existing Active Directory or NT4-based domain infrastructure. Moreover, trusts with other Active Directory forests are not allowed, which means that a user will not be able to set up an explicit (i.e., NT4 style) trust with another domain, and the Exchange Server in Small Business Server is restricted from being part of a larger Exchange Server organization.
